So the dub of Shaymin's movie premiered tonight and I caught the last half of it! THINGS.

-In the Japanese version, Shaymin uses a girlish speaking dialet in Landforme and a tougher one in Sky Forme (Deshou and . . .I forget what the Sky forme's was). In the dub, they countered this by having Shaymin's voice mimic a bratty girl in Land Forme while sounding like a little boy in Sky Forme. I've seen people compare it to Tails from Sonic the Hedgehog lol. SO when ever I get around to introducing its Sky Forme, assume it sounds more like a boy then.

-THAT SAID. . .I really really did not like it's dub voice XD; SO I WILL BE LEANING toward making Shaymin sound kinda squeakier, like it's original voice. Not that we can actually ya know, hear anything. I'm just gonna play around til I find a comfortable balance between the original and dub (It's not that big of a leap, I don't think, since most of the lines were the same anyway.)

-I need to catch the first half to see exactly how Shaymin refers to itself. I'm preeeetty sure it jumps back and forth from talking normally to referring to itself in the third person.

-The dub changes all it's nonsensical squeaks to "Miiin" (Shay'min' versus Shemei). I'm keeping them as 'Mei' because. It just sounds cuter okay 8'(

-I AM THINKING TO MUCH ABOUT A POKEMON check out my new matching icons. GARMIN.

As a note, Shaymin alternates between saying 'Desho' and 'Desu' in its Land and Sky forms. It's basically a lot more timid in its Land form (thank you Exceeel), but aside from that I'm not going to play much with it because the subs don't bother either. WHEN THE DUB COMES OUT I may have to retcon a bit to see what they do, but I don't think it's that big of a deal :|??

Also, I left this off the ability meme since it's more of quirk, but if you hug Shaymin and it senses gratitude/warmth/GOOD FEELINGS, it sprouts flowers like in the icon |D I LOVE MY TINY CUTE THING YOU GUYS.
